Real Estate: Inventory Shortage, T.G.I.S.

T.G.I.S= Thank God it’s Spring!!
My realtor friends, clients shopping and my colleagues have been looking forward to what Spring may bring for our real estate listings. Wow, it’s a tough market to be shopping for a home in. Thankfully the glass is half full and there is optimism.
I have experienced well-qualified clients, searching for their first home whose budgets would have gotten them something nice a couple of years back, but now in 2021, we have been struggling to find anything listed here in our PNW under $300,000.
Since last year and the beginning of the Covid pandemic, people searching for homes, and agents have seen much lower numbers of listings than in the past years. This has created a huge challenge for buyers. Sellers are receiving a stack of offers to choose from, making this market competitive and ruthless at times.
There’s been a shortage of listings, that fall under the budget of our local families to choose from. There’s a huge demographic shopping for a certain price range, and their hopes are getting beat out by inflated offers put in by other families just hoping to secure housing.
There’s hope! My motto (other than Dream Big) is “if there’s a will, there’s a way!”
Spring is in the air, and more homes are finally hitting the market. There are a variety of products for different credit qualifications, income brackets, and down payment scenarios. Even if shopping right now is not in your cards, starting on a plan “today” is better than being remorseful 2 years from now that you may have not known how to get started on your dreams of homeownership.
Want to know how close you are to being a homeowner right now? I can help with that. My specialty is looking at what we can do to help you reach your goals. Is it just exploring downpayment options and programs? Is it the “one thing” you can do to jump your credit score? Is it setting up a budget to be able to increase your buying power? Look folks (lol, I wanted to say Y’all), I love math and I have so much personal experience in coming up from rock bottom credit, income, and hopelessness. There’s nothing you can tell me that I haven’t fixed in my own life or helped someone overcome. I am going to be the most empathetic and least judgmental person you can work with (in my opinion).
I want to help you reach your dreams. I want you to be financially in the best situation possible. This makes me feel good, and feel like every financial mistake I’ve ever made when I was younger was for a reason. So that I can guide, help, and inspire people to have the future they have been hoping for, working for, praying for.
Today, Start to dream. Tomorrow, write out some of your wishes. When you are ready, I am here to help.
Sweet Dreams….
